What is a Prasnam?

Prasnam means query, which is generally used in the Vedic astrology that involves analyzing the planetary configuration at the time a specific question is asked. Prasnam is one of the important directions in the Vedic astrology readings. The readings are done using horary (time) of a particular planet which governs the time for a certain duration. An astrologer will answer the specific question by reading the horoscope and the placement of the planets at that moment and through this process you can obtain proper guidance and direction on how to proceed further with a particular situation.

Prasnam should be done before planning or deciding on particular prayers along with reading of the horoscope or birth chart. After the detail Prasnam you may move forward to perform the necessary prayers to remove what is blocking your progress in life. Once the specific prayers are completed you need to perform the final Prasnam to understand the positivity and impact of the prayers for the required problems. It will reveal the strength of what was accomplished, and remind you on what it needs and the level of the clearance you have received through the prayers which were conducted.
